Lice are experiencing a big growth in number lately. Compared with years ago, it’s been said that only those with a lower socioeconomic status were prone to infestations. Now everyone is a target including lower, middle and upper class. What could be the reason for all of this lice growth? I’m assuming, no one really knows for sure, but as a lice removal pro there are a couple glaring reasons for the uprising. These could include:
Increased activity among children including sleepovers, playing, sports, and gymnastics.
Daycare centers and nursery schools, these have been growing year over year. These days many parents both go to work and for this reason, daycare has become larger and larger each year.
Lice may have changed their structure; it’s possible that like other bugs or even viruses, they’ve become resistant over time to past treatments that used to work successfully.
Many parents are so busy; they don’t always have the time to check their children’s heads. This should be done on a daily basis. Lice aren’t something you’d like to leave in your child’s hair.
Should I try to remove the head lice myself? There are plenty of articles online on home remedies and what not; however I don’t believe its full proof. We’ve had many phone calls where parents have gone the DIYS route and weeks later, the lice were back. Unless you want a continued headache, it would be wise to call an expert for head lice removal.
