Non-Toxic Lice & Nit Removal

The main ingredient is most lice removal products is neurotoxin (permethrin). Once the non-toxic shampoo is used, it absorbs into the scalp. This helps to prevent any future infestations and headaches! After your child’s been treated and the lice have been successfully removed, this wonderful lice prevention shampoo should be utilized twice a week for preventative measures.

So your child’s scratching his or her head and this isn’t happening just once, but repeatedly. Your freaking out because you think your child may have a lice infestation. Here are just a few helpful factors that may indicate that your child has lice.

1)      Your child’s head is itchy: This is definitely a huge factor, but don’t put all your eggs into one basket on this one. There are plenty of children we’ve treated who didn’t have itchy heads. This just happens to be the most obvious clue.

2)      Checking for eggs: The most reliable way to check is to the scalp and hair. The female louse lays 8-10 eggs a day and they’re about 1/8 away from the scalp. The eggs are always attached to one side of a hair strand.

3)      You’ve found the bug:  If you’ve found the eggs and your child’s head is itching like crazy, you’re bound to find the louse soon enough. They appear to be about the size of a sesame seed, have six legs and are tan to grayish in color.
